Fun & The Farm

Time is sure flying this summer. We continue to have some really fantastic adventures each day. The third week in June brought another first.....a Burley Ride! Thank you to the Bradburys for passing down this fun ride. The kids weren't too crazy about it but they are going to learn to like it. In this family cycling is not optional. I have a vivid picture of Mary's twin girls riding in it the first time. If I remember correctly they weren't too sure about it either. The good news is that Courtney and Sarah did indeed learn to love it and even tried to keep the flag as a memento.

We also met the Kenneys at Deanna Rose. Hope and Jack had fun checking out the animals and playing on the playground with friends Tanner and Taylor. We beat the crowds and attempted to beat the heat. What a fun morning we had!

Happy Father's Day!

As predicted, we did have a full weekend. Yesterday was great as we celebrated Father's Day as a family. Here are few playful pics with Dad. We love you!

Field Trips & Fun

We've survived week two of summer break and are ready for the weekend. Not sure what the weekend will bring but I know it will be full. Here are a few highlights from our week at home.

Table Rock Lake

To close out our first week of summer, we did it lakeside with our good friends the Davis Family. They have a lake house at Table Rock Lake and invited us to spend the weekend with them. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed every moment. It brought back fun memories of boating as a kid and we felt fortunate to have Hope and Jack experience a slice of that life. We are grateful for the Davises and their amazing hospitality. We so enjoyed having our families together for a weekend lake adventure.

Summer Kickoff - Week 1

Time flies when you're having fun. Each day brought new adventures for the kids and I. The first field trip for summer was to Truman Lake to visit our good friends Phil and Mary Alice Neal. They recently moved into their new log cabin and are getting settled in their beautiful home. We enjoyed lunch and catching up with them.

Another highlight of the week was getting to meet Jessy's new bundle of love, Morgan. He is soooo adorable and we all fell in love with him instantly. The kids are really going to love their new little buddy. Congratulations again to Jessy and Trevor. We are thrilled for you guys!

These field trips to log cabins are lots of fun.

Welcome Summer!

Ahhhhh........June is here and I'm out of school! WooHoo!!! Today is my official first day of summer and I'm so thrilled to be home playing for the next several weeks. The other exciting news of the week for us is that Nanny Jessy had her baby! We are so happy for her and are looking forward to meeting her new little guy this week. The kids are going to miss her this summer but I think she's going to enjoy being a mama for several weeks before coming back to us.

Here is a hodge podge of our fun from the past few weeks. Never a dull moment at our house! We are loving the outdoors, enjoying a visit from Mary, and Lulu & Sir, and even squeezing in another first.
